12 Principles of Effective Learning and Teaching application in the classroom

 Teachers’ knowledge of the subject matter is essential to the implementation of important teaching tasks. As a prospect teacher, I will research various informations to have efficient knowledge about a topic for me to be able to teach my learners with the exact informations accordingly. 


Active involvement of the learner enhances learning. As a prospective teacher, I will conduct activities or games related to the topic to capture the attentions of the learners.



Interaction between teachers and students is the most important factor in student motivation & involvement. As a prospective teacher, I will look for an effective means of teaching the students that will motivate them to participate in the class.



Students’ benefit from taking responsibility for their learning. As a prospective teacher, I will give good ratings or grades according to their performances.


There are many roads to learning. As a prospective teacher, I will conduct different learning strategies that will fit according to their type of Multiple of Intelligences if what are their abilities and strengths in learning or absorbing information.



Expect more and you will achieve more. As a prospective teacher, I will not settle for less. If the student just know for example the theory of 1 topic then, I will add some more informations for them to learn more.



Learning is enhanced in an atmosphere of cooperation. As a prospective teacher, I will conduct group activities that will test their teamwork because accordingly, two heads are better than one, not because either is infallible, but because they are unlikely to go wrong in the same direction.



Material must be meaningful. As a prospective teacher, I will make learning materials or visual representations in every topic for the learners to easily learn or catch up.


Both teaching & learning are enhanced by descriptive feedback. As a prospective teacher, I will provide students with detailed, specific information about improving their learning.


Critical feedback is only useful if the learner has alternative to pursue. As a prospective teacher, I will give response or reactions to my learners to mold them to be a better individual.


Time plus energy equals learning. As a prospective teacher, I will exert effort to teach my students in whatever learning strategies they want that could fit to their level of understanding.


Experience usually improves teaching. As a prospective teacher, I will venture to more opportunities to have experiences and assess these experiences whether it is good or bad or whether these could help in my teaching career.
